(a). When the labourer disobeys orders.

(b). When the labourer acts violently towards the owner. (c). When the labourer creates disturbance, not on

105 account of any ill-treatment by the mine-owner. Regulation 65. Any Deputy for Mining Affairs may require any mine owner to produce any labourer, and hand him over to the district

officials:-

(a). Who in contravention of the law, has given trouble

to the people.

(b). Who has secretly admitted any bad characters into

the mine as labourers.

Regulation 66. All mine-owners shall observe any regulations that may be made by the Government on the future for the protection of the mining labourers.

Chapter XII.

Regulation 67. Until Mine Policing Regulations have been made by the Central Government, the Deputies for Mining Affairs shall:-

(a). See that no danger threatens from the various struc- -tures etc., in any mine.

Chapter XIII.

The Commissioner of Industry shall have power to send from time to time any Deputy for Mining Affairs to investigate as to any mine, whether worked by the Government or by private persons, by Chinese or by Foreigners, or by Chinese and foreigners in co-operation, for which a mining licence has been granted prior to the enforcement of these regulations.
